No? Hurry up then! You might miss something. You will find other developers there who talk about interesting things outside of the Conitec Forum.
Maybe you have a Problem with a script, or you can not finish a Skin for some Models. Or do you just want to read what others write and learn how the solve problems in their games? Sometimes you will even see screenshots earlier than they will be posted in the forums or hear news from first hand.
The only thing you need is an IRC Client, this is a program, that connects to a network where the channel is. Then you can join the channel #3DGS in the network “quakenet” and talk to the other developers.
It is important that you know, that not all inside the channel look at it all the time. Most of us just keep the irc client running in the background and look at it from time to time. Then sometime when someone writes something he might get an answer later. So please dont leave if no one responds to you instantly .- its not meant personal.
Just be patient and you will benefit from staying there.
You can find Tutorials how to join the chanel #3DGS in the network “quakenet” here, here or also here. Have fun and i hope to see you there too!

According to this (german) Amazon Link A7 will be available at the end of may, on the 31.May 2007 - at least the extra version for a price of 15,95 € .
From Conitec there is no official statement on the release date, so you have to take the date from Amazon with caution. I also think, that the price is pretty low for my mind. The only thing you can take for granted is that the release is probably not far away anymore - as the prerelease version for users who bought A6 recently is already available, without the Tools WED and MED.

Today i decided to make an interview with the well known, young (16 years) forum member Bloodline. Some of you may know him because he wrote some real nice tools or just because he is very active in code relevant topics. I asked him the following questions:
Hello Bloodline, please tell us more about yourself. What are you doing on a normal day. How did you come up with your nick?
Hey Ulf! I am Oliver ‘Bloodline’ Weitzel, I am 16 years old and I am a pupil. My Nick has more or less no real reason, I just wanted a nick that only I have and not 50 other people; So if you see a BL in ET, CSS, DoD or other forums, that’s me for 99%. My weekends mostly look like this: Get up, get some food, PC, food, PC, food, bed. Under the week I’m usualy away with my friends, than I’m either online after school or in the evening.
Would you be so kind and tell the readers how you stepped into game development?
My way began at the 7/X/2000 in Ravensburg (Bavaria?), as I looked with big eyes at the Sybex box of a A5 Standart. I found gamedevelopment back then as fascinating as today and bought the software directly. And although I deinstalled A5 after one week, I recovered the CD again after a half-year. I never regret it.
