Download tiny little sound generator for retro sound effects

December 20th, 2007 | Posted in Useful Tools | Tags: , , ,

While browsing the indiegamer forums i found a post about sfxr wich is a little tool that generates sound effects. You just select a category of sound effect like ‘laser’ or ‘powerup’ from the left hand side of the tool. Sfxr then generates a random sound effect of this type and let you play around with a lot of variations. After you’re finished you can save the resulting sound as .wav file.
I had a blast trying this tiny 48k! program, its so funny and you immediatly think you are sitting in front of your old tv-console. Download it here or browse over to the sfxr site.
